Job Description

Leads the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and governance, with full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial performance across all projects and business units. Ensures strong financial control, reporting accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

Role Summary

Lead and oversee all financial functions of the organization, including accounting, treasury, taxation, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring strong financial governance and alignment with corporate strategy. Drive the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and cash flow planning to support operational and project needs across all business units. Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions, and structure financing solutions for large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects, including EPC and PPP schemes. Ensure timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS or applicable GAAP, while maintaining strict financial controls and transparency. Establish and enforce internal control systems, risk management frameworks, and audit processes to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Support executive management in strategic decision-making, fundraising initiatives, investor relations, and evaluation of potential partnerships, investments, and M&A opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and periodic forecasting processes across all departments
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships, including loans, guarantees, and credit facilities
  • Structure and oversee project financing for water and wastewater infrastructure projects (EPC, PPP, BOT, etc.)
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in line with IFRS/GAAP standards
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and audit procedures
  • Support commercial and technical teams with pricing strategies, cost analysis, and financial risk assessment
  • Monitor project profitability, cost performance, and financial KPIs throughout execution
  • Lead tax planning and compliance activities across jurisdictions where applicable
  • Advise executive leadership on financial strategy, investments, and long-term business planning
