Job Description

Leads all commercial and business development activities across the organization, including tendering, contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and client relationship management for water and wastewater treatment projects. Responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing projects, and expanding the company’s market presence through strategic partnerships and key account development.

Role Summary

Lead and manage all commercial and business development activities across the organization, focusing on securing new opportunities in municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment sectors. Identify, evaluate, and qualify projects including EPC, O&M, and PPP schemes, and drive the full tendering lifecycle from opportunity assessment to contract award. Lead commercial negotiations, develop contracting strategies, and ensure all agreements are aligned with the company’s risk appetite and profitability targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, including municipalities, oil & gas companies, industrial clients, and consultants. Oversee the preparation of competitive commercial proposals, including pricing models, cost build-ups, and bid documentation, ensuring alignment with technical solutions and project requirements. Conduct market intelligence activities to track competitor positioning, pricing trends, and emerging client needs, supporting strategic decision-making and market expansion. Work closely with technical, procurement, and finance teams to ensure commercially viable and technically compliant offers, while supporting project execution through contract administration, variation management, and claims handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across water and wastewater sectors
  • Lead end-to-end tendering process, including bid/no-bid decisions and proposal submission
  • Negotiate contracts (EPC, O&M, PPP) ensuring favorable commercial and risk positions
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies, cost estimates, and commercial proposals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client requirements to support growth strategy
  • Coordinate with technical and finance teams to ensure proposals are feasible and profitable
  • Oversee contract administration, including variations, claims, and commercial risk management
  • Support project teams during execution on commercial matters and client interactions
  • Drive revenue growth, order intake, and overall commercial performance of the organization
